Since 1791, the Antica Offelleria della Meneghina, the 'old pastry shop', has been witness to centuries of history, meetings and stories. The store is a member of the Cultural Association of Historical Italian Bars, an organization that protects and promotes the oldest and most prestigious bars that have helped write the pages of Italian history. At La Meneghina, you can trace the story of conspiring patriots during the Austrian siege in 1848 while sipping on an enjoyable aperitif accompanied by a "pezzo", a homemade pastry cooked freshly every day in the artisan bakery. It is one of Giuliano Pediconi's recipes, a leavened cake with a light and fragrant consistency, filled with quality raw materials.
