Invimec at T.Gold
For over 55 years Invimec, located on the outskirts of Vicenza, has been designing and developing machines for the goldsmith sector, but it is between the 80s and 90s with the production of the first wire and strip rolling trains that a real technological innovation takes place. The new wire rolling trains make it possible to: obtain a better quality of the wire, guarantee the repetition of the mechanical characteristics of the semi-finished product and speed up production processes.
The steps of reducing the thickness of the sheets or reducing the section of the wire rods, at the time, were carried out manually by two workers dedicated to production.
The speed of insertion of the material could be optimized as much as possible, but it still remained linked to the human capacity of the operators. Similarly, the quality of the work was linked to the skill of the worker and the possibility of a simple human error was always present.
We are in the early 2000s and Invimec stands out again for the design of the rolling train with independent heads (also known as single-drive).
This lamination process is increasingly appreciated also in companies with medium-small productions, for the total safety of the operator, the automation of work without supervision, the versatility and flexibility obtained on the semi-finished product: it is possible to obtain different varieties of shape depending on of the foreseen applications in the goldsmith and industrial fields.
This is how the know-how obtained over the years allows Invimec to solve specific and niche problems in the world of cold rolling: in addition to the world of the metal industry, our solutions also apply to the jewelery and watchmaking sectors.
Based on a request from the watch industry, starting from 2022, Invimec will expand its range of strip rolling mills, with the new 5-stand ENNE245 model that will allow the lamination of strip widths up to 80 mm with starting thickness from 28mm up to to 1 mm.
