Vacheron Constantin: two centuries of ladies' timepieces

Vacheron Constantin is preparing to celebrate the world of Haute Couture with an extraordinary selection of watches belonging to the House’s precious private collection.

The unique pieces are exhibited in Milan in the boutique located in via Verri until November 14th and testify to the creativity declined to women, a hallmark of the manufacture for over two centuries.

Over wo hundred years of watchmaking for her, through a selection of Vacheron Constantin Heritage Collection: not only timepieces which may be combined with evening, tea, breakfast or cocktail outfits, but also watches expressly designed for the most refined customers.

Haute Couture and Haute Horlogerie are hence inextricably bonded: since the mid-twentieth century, in fact, Haute Couture Maisons have been governed by a set of rules codifying their activity, from the creation of garments to fashion shows, thus stimulating the imagination of the Maisons in a universe of styles, luxury and quality. At the same time, Haute Horlogerie is permeated by a series of rules governing the creation of timepieces between art and knowledge.

And if Vacheron Constantin shares the attention, creativity and approach which is common to the artistic craftsmanship of Haute Couture, it is the female universe that expresses itself in a riot of beauty and luxury. 1300 pieces, from the first one dated 1815, a yellow gold pocket watch with an engraved middle case and a floral motif with garnets, to the most classic time display with an off-center sub-dial which leaves room for the decoration of the dial itself and made with two different handcrafted techniques, hand engraving and setting, as in the Egérie collection.
