The non-trend is the new trend
The real trend today is the “non-trend”, expressing one's own individuality, each to their own, and giving a unique image of oneself through clothes and accessories that is different to everyone else in order to make one's own style as personal as possible.
Styles multiply, becoming inconstant and heterogeneous, and change every day or, if so desired, several times a day. The trend for the most absolute fragmentation and personalization, which has been incubating for some time, is now making a forceful comeback as an authentic non-trend, causing the end of the fashion trend as we know it.
It is a trend that represents and tells the story of a confused, segmented, diversified and multiple society. What in the past was provocation, is now accepted and shared normality. Nowadays we can be exactly what we want, where we want, when we want, chameleons by necessity and for pleasure. A different accessory, a new outfit and a person's identity mutates to re-start with yet another the next morning. Accessories and clothes are becoming increasingly varied and changeable and are multiplying the possibilities of presenting oneself in whatever way we choose.
