The luxury of Swedish sustainability with Baumgarten Di Marco
The quality of the raw materials is fundamental for a company’s aims. Even more so if the gold and precious stones are certified through a particular code that attests their origins and production in the name of ethical respect.
This is the philosophy that, three years ago, urged two young Swedish designers, Lisa von Baumgarten and Jenny Kask, to create a brand that would make sustainability and transparent traceability its trademark.
After having received the Elle Award for the Best Accessory Designers 2018, they officially introduced themselves to the international market during the last edition of VICENZAORO September.
The Baumgarten Di Marco lines find inspiration in the desire to breathe new life into items of jewellery considered as rejects. And so, black raw-cut diamonds and labradorite are combined with silver and gold-plated brass to create hand-made collections embellished by shapes and finishings with a minimal yet, at the same time, refined touch.
Every item is one-of-a kind, also in terms of its basic ethical concept, which is behind the entire project. . Baumgarten Di Marco was, in fact, one of the first brands in the sector to sign the Swedish Fashion Ethical Charter.
