Luisa Rosas: "Creativity as a genuine and inevitable expression”
Luísa Rosas comes from a northern Portuguese family with a long-standing goldsmith tradition. Her approach to the world of jewellery and the tools used by master goldsmiths are instilled in her creative spirit. It all begins with architecture and goes towards the creation of items of high jewellery steeped in a taste for light yet experimental shapes. Her shapes are inspired by nature: jewellery design is not only a natural inheritance, it is also an inevitable way of seeing the world, and so the jewellery becomes the result of pure creativity and expression.
The modular and organic structures of nature are based on repetition and models, a source of inspiration for her work. Likewise, every collection is the conclusion of a period of tireless experimentation and emotional and sensorial effort where every detail counts. The result is a series of items that beg to be touched and experienced, able to simultaneously stimulate a combination of senses.
When one of Luísa Rosas' pieces is created, everything starts from a rigorous selection of gems by expert master jewellers, based on extremely strict criteria involving colour, weight, purity and cut. Every item in the collections is therefore the result of an idea, a concept, but it is also a delicate work where the final touch transforms them into admirable and unique objects.
