The most beautiful jewels of the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival 2023
On the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival, jewels play a leading role on a par with celebrity dresses. In this scenario, Chopard plays an important role, being also the brand responsible for creating the most prestigious award: the Palme d'Or. However, the other maisons are no less and it is often the most renowned jewellery brands that invite celebrities to Cannes to present their new collections of precious jewels, giving life to sparkling stories centered on gold, diamonds and precious stones.
During the first days of the Festival, the numerous diamonds around the necks of celebrities and influencers shone. Among the protagonists, Boucheron could not be missing, with his timeless but always imaginative creations. The maison graced Virginie Ledoyen's neck with the Swan Question Mark necklace, with a 3.59-carat Colombian emerald and pavé diamonds on white gold.
The variations of necklaces have been endless and fascinating. Irina Shayk wore a masterpiece by Messika: a necklace, inspired by the style of ancient Egypt, made of diamonds and white gold, the flagship of the 2022 "Beyond the Light" High Jewellery collection. Its name is Akh-Ba-Ka and it embodies the spirit and soul of the ancient civilization.
The same maison was also chosen by Gigi Hadid, who made her debut on the Cannes red carpet by selecting for the occasion the necklace and bracelet from the Roaring Diamonds collection, the Illusionnistes ear clip, the Glam'Azone ring, the double ring Gloria and the pink and yellow Toi&Moi heart-shaped diamond ring.
Finally, Natalie Portman showed off an elegant Dior dress combined with precious Chopard jewels, including a necklace from the Red Carpet Collection made in certified ethical white gold, embellished with heart-cut blue sapphires, for a total of 119.95 carats and diamonds for 36, 30 carats. The ensemble was completed by point of light earrings in white gold and diamonds and a ring made of white gold, diamonds and cushion-cut blue sapphire of 20.99 carats.
