Finematter: the multi-brand of fine jewelry
It's called Finematter and has already been renamed the Farfetch of the jewelry world. This innovative multi-brand dedicated to fine jewelry was born starting from the English and Danish markets, and also acts as an aggregator for jewelers and independent brands.
The idea came to Caroline Chalmer and Mie Ejdrup for an investment of about 2 million euros: Finematter now has over twenty designers and jewelers, to whom the site itself is aimed, as well as end consumers. As stated by the creators, the project was created to respond to the difficulties of the wholesale model, also turning the spotlight on a selection of fine jewelers with high and accurate positioning, to sell their products on a global scale.
All this above all because, with the spread of Covid-19, the importance of platforms like this has become essential for independent high-end jewelry brands. Because, as Chalmer says, "having a strong online presence is increasingly strategic and we are satisfied with the interest that the designers have shown us".
