Three key trends for the 2020 holiday season, according to De Beers Group and Adorn Insight. While retailers are eager to understand how the pandemic will affect what is typically the most useful time of year, the group, along with fashion trend consultancy Adorn Insight, investigated the issue in their fourth Diamond report. Insight Flash, identifying three key diamond jewelry trends for the coming months.
Both women and men surveyed indicated that they were more likely to purchase and receive diamond jewelry in the next six months.
And many more women of the past have claimed to wear diamond jewelry, especially engagement rings and necklaces.
In a webinar on the subject it was noted how consumers are cautious and act consciously in their expenses.
55% of consumers said they had socialized or shopped in the past month for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
The most popular style of diamond jewelry? According to consumers it is a ring. The most popular styles include diamonds (36%), diamond pendants or necklaces (30%) or diamond earrings (22%).
The value of precious metals and diamonds makes these jewels an ideal purchase to meet consumer needs, although sellers should focus on strengthening customer ties, in part by strengthening digital and social presences.
Key trend of diamond jewelry is the perfect classic style to embody a "precious investment", and to follow the attention to craftsmanship. The De Beers report mentioned designer Silvia Furmanovich as the embodiment of this trend thanks to her artisanal inlay work.
