Corporate social responsibility is synonymous with success
In recent years, Corporate Social Responsibility has become a must for the majority of successful jewellery Brands, However, it is not the only imperative since the demand and appreciation for ethical and responsible jewellery, produced by following a fair manufacturing process, is also constantly increasing.
One example is Forever Unique, by Alberto Osimo, a brand of jewellery, Made entirely in Italy, that offers unique items, designed and produced by hand, and all strictly certified. Like Ideal Square, for example, the brilliant-cut square diamond that involves hours of work to obtain the proportions and perfect symmetries of its 68 facets which appear to form hearts or arrows.
Thanks to an agreement with the De Beers Group, all the Forever Unique diamonds are IIDGR (a DBG company) engraved and certified and every jewel is guaranteed by an impartial institute.
To give further value to each diamond, Osimo - like many other successful brands - has decided to add an important detail: accompanying the 4 Cs (carats, colour, clarity and cut), it has inserted the certification of a fifth and extremely important characteristic - the C for Confidence, transparency and ethics.
In fact, Forever Unique diamonds respect the requirements of the World Diamond Council's Kimberly Process, approved by the United Nations.
The ethics and sustainability decision is, as always, rewarding: Forever Unique now has 220 sales points in Italy, a number that is expected to reach 500 by 2019, with an increase of 40% this year and growth forecast at 50% for the next. Exports now count 10% and the aim is to arrive at 30% in 2019.
For luxury brands, sustainability is becoming more and more synonymous, not only with ethics, but also with success.
