Typical and traditional Venetian dishes and a charming bistro with tables and chairs set among the stone walls of the store's cellar. Il Ceppo delicatessen was founded by Osvaldo Boscolo in 1971 and immediately became one of the most popular in Vicenza gastronomic circles.
It is a reference point for high quality foods: specialized in creating and selling ready-made local, seasonal and high quality dishes, like Baccalà alla Vicentina (stockfish), Baccalà Mantecato (creamed stockfish) and Ragù di Anatra (duck sauce), with a vast assortment of cold cuts, cheeses, honey, preserves, sauces, local, national and foreign oils, and much, much more.
The bistro, where 'baccalà' reigns sovereign, is located in the sotobotèga (cellar) and pays homage to the wine and food traditions of Vicenza.
